Read em and Weep

Read em and Weep is a game about reading the fortune of a client with your tarot cards and psychic abilities. The concept is that they come to you for advice on an adventure they are undertaking and you are consulting Fate (the GM) to tell their future.

The game plays like other TTRPGs where the GM describes a scene and you dictate the actions of your Client (player character) but with the framing device that these are future events that you are describing to your client in your Tarot Reading Shop.

You'll need access to the Major Arcana of a tarot deck for character creation as it involves performing a Past-Present-Future tarot card spread for them which will determine their abilities and stats.

Note that this is a project I plan to expand upon because I'm not yet satisfied with the dice manipulation mechanics and some of the boons and burdens and level advancement are not quite up to the standard I want. Expect major changes in the coming months (namely, considering an idea of all the players reading the fortune of the SAME client but that will require a big rework).

The rules are one page (front and back) with the back just being a list of effects the tarot cards have. I'm aiming to make this a 5-10 page project with more balanced and intuitive rules as time goes on.
